1.Cocora
Valley
One of the
best things to do in the Eje Cafetero is to set out on a trekking adventure
through the Cocora Valley, which stands out as the most beautiful and famous
natural landscape in all of Colombia. You should look out for the Quindío wax
palms, the country's national tree, as they come across as the valley's most
iconic feature, along with a vast diversity of flora and fauna that might
surprise to the tourists.
2. Salento
Salento, surrounded by a stunning Andean
mountainous backdrop, is one of the most beautiful towns to visit in the Eje
Cafetero. It has preserved its original architecture, with the main square and
houses featuring vibrant, colorful facades standing out. In town, besides
strolling along the famous Royal Street, we recommend
climbing up to the two viewpoints, from which you can enjoy unique views of the
magnificent nature.
3.Filandia
Filandia must be the other most beautiful town
to visit in the Eje Cafetero. It has the Street of Stopped Time and Simón
Bolívar Square as its two main tourist spots. in addition, you could admire the
Antioquian architecture featuring colorful houses that blend in with shops
selling crafts and cozy restaurants. You might also reach the Filandia
viewpoint, from where you can enjoy impressive views of the Coffee Cultural
Landscape.
